Stealing Bread

Two unfortunate men, a father and son, after begging in vain, driven by hunger, steal a loaf of bread from a baker's shop. The father is arrested, and the Comissioner, to make sure that the theft was truly committed out of poverty, goes to the hovel where the arrested man's family lives. Faced with the great squalor, he is moved and offers help to the men.
