This film tells the true story of Admiral Malahayati, the world’s first female admiral from the Sultanate of Aceh, who led hundreds of widows—whose husbands had fallen on the battlefield in the fight against the Portuguese—to avenge their husbands’ deaths as the last line of defense for their homeland.
