Thuraya asks Ahmed to attend his uncle's wife's birthday party, but he refuses. Meanwhile, Ahmed calls for the lifting of parliamentary immunity for MP Shadi Al-Azabi, following accusations involving the importation of tainted food that caused widespread poisoning.

Shehab gets angry with his daughter for staying out late, while Shadi asks his daughter, Salwa, to befriend Maha—the daughter of the Chief Prosecutor—so she can intervene and persuade her father to stay away from him.

Ihsan tasks Ahmed with searching for her missing husband; he finds him murdered in his Zamalek apartment, and the police investigate the case.
