It's being taken over, so old-fashioned editor Jane cedes her office to utter bitch Rebecca, who doesn't even respect Flemish investor Matthias Janssens, but grants him a single favor: hiring as menial 'assistant's assistant' naive would be-staffer Ellis Beers, a naive country girl.
Everybody soon realizes new editor Rebecca is installing a reign of terror, refusing to take notice of anyone, even the board, so celebrity Sylvana Simons, whom they asked for the cover, is rejected. Unshakable gay confident Berlul takes Ellis, who drown from the start, under his wing.
