Doménica meets Max Langer and is immediately charmed by his generosity and charisma. Meanwhile, Luis Fernando is enjoying the company of his partner, Paula, with whom he is celebrating their upcoming pregnancy. During a horseback ride, Doménica sees her horse become agitated and put her safety at risk. Just in time, Max Langer intervenes to rescue her. However, it's all part of a plan orchestrated by him and Kiara, Doménica's cousin. Their goal is to ruin her and take all her money, feigning love and commitment before running away together. After weeks of preparing the wedding details, Max arrives with disturbing news for Doménica: he no longer wants to continue with the marriage and is determined to end it.
