The Trial

Tim Heidecker is charged with 20 cases of felony murder for distributing toxic vape pens to concertgoers at an illegal music festival he organized. The parties give their opening statements, and the prosecution calls their first witnesses.

Having fired his lawyer, Tim Heidecker's murder trial continues as he represents himself. The prosecution continues to hear testimony from witnesses, one of which is taken very personally by Heidecker.

The prosecution calls witnesses to testify on Tim Heidecker's character. His reactions, ranging from violent death threats to emotional heartbreak, seem to spell doom for him. The prosecution rests their case.

It is now Tim's turn to call witnesses, but his efforts to clear his name flounder. In cases where the prosecution's cross-examination doesn't further stack evidence against Tim, his own witnesses work against him.

Tim calls his final witnesses; when he doesn't use it as an attempt to settle personal scores, he attempts to get them to flagrantly forge evidence on his behalf. They make their closing statements, and the jury moves to deliberate.

After five days of deliberation, the jury reaches a verdict and reads it out to the courtroom. Afterwards, both parties give press conferences sharing their thoughts on the verdict.
