While writing a book report on The Odyssey, Ian discovers notes about how to escape Tower Prep, written by a former student. On his quest to follow the clues, Ian encounters students similar to the creatures in the story.

As Gabe decides to run for class president after one of the candidates falls ill, an epidemic of weakness and power loss sweeps across campus, targeting Gabe's friends as well as others. With time running out, an infected Ian has no choice but to seek out the school authorities for treatment.

The gang use a field trip to disguise their efforts to escape, but encounter Redfang, the legendary monster of the woods.

The four students have similar dreams of a mysterious old man and a set of yellow elevator doors.

A homesick Ian celebrates his birthday and decides to call his parents... but is he talking to his real ones?

Ian suspects Cal is a spy just as the escape plan comes together. When he finds Cal in CJ's room, Ian begins to suspect CJ is giving intel.

Conner returns, claiming to know how to get out. He and his group of exiles believe West Campus is the way out. He tries to get to West Campus but the gnomes made him turn back. He ends up in Ian's and Gabe's room with Chemica 2.0. Ian sends him to the observatory, but the gnomes capture him in the tunnels.

Gabe is sent to West Campus for refusing to reveal his source for Chemica Desin 2.0. His West Campus roommate, Demetrius, was hired by Headmaster to protect Gabe from Jeremy and the Rooks.
