While Kinsey and Eddie deal with removing squatters from a shop, Kinsey's Business partner, Barry Haynes, and practice secretary, Linda Barnes, are clearing out funds from a client account and fleeing the country.

Following Haynes' exit, Max Barker installs Tricia Mabbott as Kinsey's new partner in residence. Kinsey takes on a case against a driver who has left a young boy in a wheelchair following a road accident.

Kinsey investigates a factory foreman in a case of industrial insurance fraud. Eddie is sent undercover at the factory, but an attempt by the foreman to silence him goes horribly wrong with tragic consequences for one of the workers.

Former Barry Haynes client, designer Kathy McGee has her first fashion show ruined when she suffers an asthma attack. Trisha wants to help but the Medcan inhaler she used has no issue when tested. So why is a Medcan rep visiting Kinsey?

Lawyer Gordon Sprake is acting for Kinsey's ex-wife's maintenance and is refusing to reduce payment, Kinsey has an old injury case in which Sprake has allowed to run out of time. He asks Trisha to visit Mrs. Clarke and help her sue Sprake.

Barry Haynes has fallen from a balcony trying to escape Keith Schofield's man. Linda Barnes returns Haynes home but vanishes with the money and Schofield's files. Kinsey could get struck off, at his tribunal, but must deal with Schofield.
