When Walter arrives in Matt's office to show him the sketches, Matt tells Walter that he and Liz had an argument the night before. Walter hears the story and tells Matt not to surprise Liz in the future about anything; they like to be in on the loop. Dan tells Walter about the home in Queens Point. Walter shows Buckley the new sketches and idea. Buckley likes them, but not for the new campaign. Buckley says they are interested in a new model, Carol West. Buckley however will show the sketches at the next meeting with Empire Textiles. Liz shows up in Matt's office and they patch up their differences from the night before. Matt plans on taking Liz to see the home that afternoon. Dan meets Walter for lunch and Walter says he is not sure the new sketches will get approved and that will destroy Ann. Matt shows Liz the home and she loves it. Matt says that if they get it they will have to move up the wedding date because the owner wants to sell it now.
At breakfast Ann reminds Walter that today is the day they find out if Empire Textiles approves the new sketches. Walter is very optimistic that it will be a go; Ann not so much. Buckley informs Walter that the sketches are great and that they will use the...someday. Buckley tells Walter that Empire Textiles wants to continue with him and a new model. Ann goes over to Susan's to give her a manicure. Susan talks about possibly being pregnant and Ann talks about Empire Textiles. Matt meets Walter for lunch and Walter tells him about the sketches and Ann not being chosen as the model for Empire. Once Walter gets home he cannot bring himself to tell Ann the truth, so he says Buckley is still thinking about his decision.
Dan's Aunt Alex stops by to visit with Susan and notices how bad Susan looks, Ann and Walter meet up at the Houndstooth for lunch and discuss Ann visiting her mother and Jill. Ann runs into Paul and she apologizes for being drunk the night before at the wedding. Ann uses Susan as a sounding board after her modeling interview was a farce. Walter shows Buckley (now played by Ted Knight) the designs and Buckley is thrilled. Walter tells Buckley they would have been better had Ann been the model. Buckley informs Walter that Empire will never be using Ann again. Time change. Walter is furious and leaves before things get ugly.
Irene stops in to see Phil Buckley and asks why a competitor of Halstead's has sketches that are supposed to be for her. Buckley advises Irene that Jansen is interested in who did the sketches and that is all. At that point Walter stops in to see Buckley. After Irene leaves Walter tells Buckley that Carol made a play for him. Buckley says that Walter should be able to take care of himself. Buckley calls Matt in and explains the merger. Buckley also offers Matt a job, unfortunately it is a demotion and being on the road a lot. Matt is not happy.
Susan runs into Jerry at the park and it is awkward until Jerry starts to talk about Lena and Roy. Jerry appears to be happier and Susan is pleased, but a little hurt. Susan heads to the Kings Plate to have lunch with Ann. Roy appears at the Kings plate and walks over to Susan and introduces himself to Ann. Ann can tell that Susan does not care for Roy. Roy tells Susan that she should get used to running into him at the Kings Plate. Susan tells Ann that Roy is Jerry's stepfather and she does not care for him. Titus and Roy are having lunch and Titus accuses Roy of holding out on him. Roy swears to Titus that he is on the level. After seeing Roy with Titus Susan decides to rehire Ray Benson to investigate them again. Roy arrives home and Lena senses something is wrong.
Henry and Martha arrive at the police station and get the rundown from Lt. Bauer. Buzz is finally able to see his parents and explains the story to them. Henry blames Walter for the whole thing even though Walter had nothing to do with the robbery. Ann is getting ready to go out and overhears Walter on the phone. Walter is told that due to the robbery, Walter is no longer in charge of Buzz and Jimmy. Walter is feeling let down and Ann comforts Walter. Ann arrives at Paul's apartment and tells him what has been going on. Paul says that since Walter will no longer be in charge of Buzz and Jimmy then Ann can leave Walter. Ann says that there is still Jill to consider. Henry goes to hire a lawyer for Buzz, Gilly Gillespie.
Gilly asks Hank to come to his office. At Gilly's office Gilly tells Hank that Buzz has refused Hank's bail. Buzz feels it is another way of Hank buying him off and that he would rather stay in jail because he feels independent. Gilly says that they need to find Jimmy in the mean time for Buzz's sake. Susan brings Jerry down to the police station to visit Buzz. Jerry decides that he wants to see Buzz alone. Buzz has a chip on his shoulder and is not nice to Jerry, which brings Jerry to tears and he leaves Buzz. Susan sees Buzz before she leaves and gives him a piece of her mind with the way he was towards Jerry. Buzz apologizes and Susan tells Buzz he needs to start acting like the adult he is. Jill goes to see Gilly and lets him know that Jimmy has been hiding out at Ginny Arnold's apartment. Jimmy is brought in and exchanges words with Buzz and promises to get even with the person that ratted him out.
Buzz continues to try and reason with Jimmy on his way out of jail. Gilly arrives and tries to get information out of Jimmy that can help Buzz. Gilly also points out that he can get a court appointed lawyer. Jimmy asks Gilly why not represent him. Gilly gives it some thought and says that maybe he would. Martha and Hank surprise Buzz with a homecoming party. Hank says that things will change around the home and he and Martha will be more lenient. Hank even gives Buzz a new guitar. Buzz is very ungrateful and Hank tells Buzz if he is that unhappy then to move out and Buzz says he will. Gilly reminds Hank that Buzz is in Hank's custody and that Jimmy plans on implicating Buzz in the robbery. Buzz visits Susan to apologize and tells her the whole story of what happened and Susan says she believes him. Dan walks in on them and says that he does not believe him. Jerry also says that it was dark and three weeks ago, so he is not sure how involved Buzz was.
