Among the fighters competing on the upcoming card is highly touted middleweight Phillip Hawes, who has been considered one of the top up and coming talents in the sport after working alongside Jon Jones for several years at Jackson Wink MMA in New Mexico. Hawes will compete in the featured bout this week as he takes on Julian Marquez — a 27-year-old veteran who has earned stoppages by knockout in all five of his professional wins.

In the featured bout, former Ultimate Fighter season 19 competitor Anton Berzin returns to his old stomping grounds in the TUF gym as he takes on undefeated prospect Kennedy Nzechukwu. Joby Sanchez will also make his return after picking up a win in the opening week of the Contender Series as he takes on fellow flyweight JP Buys.
