The Great Kiwi Bake Off

The first ever Great Kiwi Bake-Off kicks off with cakes. 12 of New Zealand's most promising amateur bakers will face two challenges. One is crowned the star baker; another bids farewell.

This week the bakers tackle a classic pineapple upside down cake with some missing instructions in the technical challenge, and a Kiwi favourite in the signature challenge.

It's dessert week on the Great Kiwi Bake-Off. Then, a technical challenge has our bakers branching out; while the ultimate Kiwi showstopper causes some bakers to crack under the pressure.

The 9 remaining bakers face the first of many bread themed challenges. Who will take the throne with their signature scone and be crowned this week's star baker?

The bakers battle with biscuits and a technical bake causes confection confusion. Then, an architectural showstopper forces our bakers to step up to the challenge.

There are only 7 bakers left and now its pastry that will challenge the contestants during pie and tart week. The contestants must recreate Dean's Linzer torte and make their own signature family pie.

This week, the remaining bakers must go gluten free. As part of the technical challenge set by Dean, the bakers are tasked to bake an orange and lavender gluten free cake in just 2 hours.

This week the Bakers tackle pastry, with a technical challenge of retro swans, crisp and dry choux pastry delicately crafted into the shape of a swan.

It's the semi-finals and chocolate week has the remaining four bakers nervous as the tricky technical serves a new twist. Plus, the last challenge has the bakers make a Show Stopper Chocolate cake!

After 10 weeks of tough competition in the Bake Off tent it all comes down to this - who will be crowned the winner?
